All STAR instructors have sales or sales management experience and are assigned to a client based on industry experience. This ensures that the instructor can draw from relevant industry experience during class discussion, when facilitating real life role-play activities, and practice exercises.

Bill McCormick is the founder and president of STAR. He has owned and operated his own sales training company since 1990. Prior to founding STAR, he worked for more than 10 years in sales, sales management, and marketing for a Fortune 25 corporation, after which he joined an international consulting firm as Vice President of Marketing for five years.

He specializes in the design, delivery, and reinforcement of sales and management training workshops, including one-on-one coaching of sales professionals and managers. Mr. McCormick has written numerous business articles (such as “How to Wow Your Customers and Increase Retention and Profits”) and been published in magazines such as Sales and Marketing Management. He earned his M.S. degree in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. McCormick is currently an instructor for Boston University.
