Communication Skills
The purpose of the Communication Skills Workshop is to improve your ability to communicate in person, over the phone, and via email. Because email has become a preferred way to communicate in the business world, we will provide many practical tips on writing effective emails, as well as determining when email is not appropriate. Participants will learn how to use different communication styles with different people and situations, which is supported by a prework self-assessment that identifies each person’s natural strengths and areas for improvement as a communicator.
The workshop content and duration can be customized for your company and primary audience. STAR provides a full line of customized workshops, offering instructor-led training, online training, and coaching.
Anyone who needs to improve his or her ability to communicate internally or externally should attend this workshop. It works well for an intact business team to attend together so that the topics and exercises can be customized to fit that particular team’s communication challenges. The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively is an essential business skill, and is especially critical for anyone who interacts with customers. Salespeople, customer service representatives, and managers will benefit greatly from this workshop.
